Infiltrating the Hegemony facilities under the guise of facility services

Events

On entering: Once cleared at the checkpoint the two will be escorted to the lunchroom as it needs tidying up. On their way there the guard escorting them will say

So Yash and Eliai is off duty today. Probably wasted out of their minds as they are at every opportunity. Good folk though. Never any security issues and nothing stolen. Do take after them.

The lunch room just needs to cleaned up and the guard leaves them to do their things. And if they wonder something call the facility manager on the intercom.

An hour or so before lunch: Outside during the forenoon a small protest have gathered shouting things like "Indentured servitude is slavery" and "Being worked to death is not good labour". The protester also harasses visitors, successfully in some cases. However shortly before noon things boil over

The protesters block a stout woman from entering telling her how bad the hegemony treats their smallfolk. Not much better than slaves is the general opinion. The woman turns to the chief protester and says
- So you give me a job then so I can feed my family
To which the protesters reply that the food given will be nothing better than protein slurry. The woman doesn't mind that as "It beats going hungry". As the protesters realize she won't leave then physically block her from entering to which she replies by headbutting the closest protester. At this point Hegemony security, who have just been observing, will draw their batons and start to disperse the crowd. Several protester has to be carried away and the woman with pats on her beack is welcomed.

When the protest dies out the street commerce picks up again. Food carts feeding the hungry, shoe shiners start polishing again etc.

The broken cameras: Shortly after lunch a techie from facility services is called to the front security posting to fix a camera which have frozen. It is clear it is frozen as the persons on the image are still. The fix is easy (a restart) and the camera then start working. A check can be made to figure out why it was malfunctioning, and it was due to tampering from an outside source. Probably used the protest as cover for the intrusion.

The food cart: After the protest is over and the food carts move in one will be brought up pretty much next to the foyer and abandoned. A failed Notice/Wis just tells the roller that it was left there. Success and they see it being left and the vendor walking away round the corner.

The placement of the food cart coincides with the camera malfunction.

If the cart is investigated it becomes very clear really fast that it is a bomb. Not as much a bomb as a dumb-rocket. When triggered it's fuel will ignite and propel a warhead into the Hegemony welcome centre. it can be defused but that will be overt and security will approach and assume the tinkerer is up to no good.

If the bomb goes off there will be casualties outside, but not as many as if it was a dumb-bomb, and devastation inside. Afterwards a holo-vid device will be tossed on the ground and activate to show weak hungering persons in collars being freed. The broadcast clearly connects the Hegemony with horrible slavery and the "Emancipation of the Collared Directive" is one to fight against against it.
